The Northern Foothills of the High Peaks

As the Saint Lawrence Valley transitions to the High Peaks of the Adirondacks, a set of rides features the diverse topography of the northern Adirondacks.  Little Tupper Lake,, Sabbatis Bog, and Long Lake are features of rides starting on Tupper Lake.  The Red Tavern Road is a classic (and relatively flat) Adirondack bike tour.  Malone is the start of a loop ride that passes over a shoulder of Titus Mountain and on to Mount View Lake before following the Salmon River back to Malone.  The Wild Center in Tupper Lake, Adirondack Museum in Long Lake and Paul Smiths Visitor Information Center south of Malone are good places to spend a day off from cycling.
